I'm glad you're going with them. Just try to stay in communication if you can. We don't know what you're going to find down there. Will you be able to tell if the air is safe for the rest of us?
I'm not all that hopeful about the comms. I struggle to hear the network when I'm out of the station, I can't imagine it will be any better down on the planet. I'll try my best.
We'll try and figure out if it's habitable. I think Lapis has ideas. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing but we'll see...

I might have a way you can help, actually. I'm not sure if the network signal will stretch all the way down to the planet. Any ideas how we can stay in contact with you guys up here? I was thinking some kind of flashing light. Morse code, maybe?
I know Morse. Even if you don't, I can write you out a sheet with it if you think you can flash a light up here. I'm not sure how I'd answer you, though. It would be pretty one way, but at least we would know if you were okay down there.
I'll signal every 12 hours. It'll save people having to hang around the obs deck. And if you can't signal back then... we'll just have to see you when we get back.
